My father was a TV and still cameraman back in the 60's and 70's , so all the techies in our family got to play with cameras. I got my own Canon AE-1, then an A-1, as Christmas gifts while a teenager, but used them sparingly because film and lenses were expensive for me.
I have some modern AF lenses that are beautifully made; but I like to play with old/legacy manual lenses, trying them on my Pentax and Nikon Cameras, and looking for their special characteristics. I have an extensive collection of manual M42 lenses, K-mount lenses and AI lenses, some of them are legendary lenses but nothing fancy or too expensive.
I find joy in the artistic features as well as the technical details of photography. Sometimes sweeping landscapes amaze me. Sometimes really close macro shots do the trick. I usually shoot photos of nature (or people and things in situ) as I see them, and upload without much post processing.
Photos connect people on many levels, so I hope to connect with you through them. I enjoy gazing at your photos as much as I like making photos.
I am now living in California, USA. I photograph everything, especially on my travels. Most of the time these days, I shoot stuff I see around the house.
