Born a Texan, and having traveled through more than 40 states, of the United States (living in 10), photography has been my traveling companion. I have traveled, through life, as a lifelong observer of life’s quiet moments, I use photography as a way to notice the details many people pass by. A camera, for me, is not just a tool—it is a way of slowing down long enough to see the story unfolding in ordinary places. A camera has prompted me to not merely look, but to SEE. Many of the best photographs are missed because we merely look, but do not take the time to pause, breathe, and see.

My photos often come from the road. Landscapes, small towns, wildlife, ships, flowers, and the changing light of the outdoors all find their way into my lens. From fields of Texas bluebonnets to historic sites and everyday scenes, I enjoy capturing the natural beauty and character of the places I visit. As a former resident of Yosemite Valley, Yosemite National Park, California (living all year round, for almost 5 years), I began honing, and training, "my eye" in one of photography's most beautiful locations.

Some images are simple moments with family and friends. Others come from quiet walks, travel stops, or places that caught my attention for a moment —but were worth remembering. Photography allows those small moments to stay alive long after the day has passed.

I am not chasing perfection or trends. I photograph what feels real, interesting, and worth preserving. If a picture helps someone else see the world with fresh eyes, then my photos have done their job.

In more recent times, I have begun practicing with - and working in partnership with - Ai as a photography tool. Rather than rely upon Ai to generate photography content, I have focused on crafted personalization, and creating custom prompts, to transform the creative field of my own imagination into output through Ai. I still have photography, and writing, as my primary creative focus! But, now, I am using Ai as another tool in my creative toolbox.
