Some species-distribution maps of creatures found in the meadow at Highcroft Farm which has been put on a Kettering Borough Council short list for development.

This isolated small meadow (3.5 acres) traces back 300 years to the old pre-enclosure grasslands of Broughton Parish.

Since the second world war the farm has been a small holding.

Given its age and its history the meadow is expected to contain species that are no longer commonly found in Northamptonshire.
