I like to travel around the US rockhounding when I have free time. Agates are my main interest, and these Flickr albums have some of the interesting agates in my collection. One reason I like agate is because of the intricate fortification patterns and the interesting crystal inclusions and pseudomorphs that look like plumes, flowers, bouquets, thistles, etc. I'm a member of the Michiana Gem and Mineral Society and a director for the American Lands Access Association, which lobbies lawmakers and federal agencies to keep our US public lands open to rock and fossil collectors.
