Hi! Finally getting around to adding profile info...

I'm a Christian mid-40s wife and mama to five children, ages 3-15. Of course, everyone asks me, "How do you find time to sew/quilt?" The answer is: I have to! With all the chaos and responsibility that comes with large family living, I find the hum of that machine and the feel of the fabric and the creativity of projects - it all fills my soul and refreshes me!

My interests are very broad: I enjoy working with colorful modern fabrics, cute novelty prints (I Spy), 30s reproduction fabric, linen and patchwork, hexagons, embroidery, anything bright and cheerful! I also collect 2.5" scrappy squares as well as sewing-themed fabric for various projects.

I love quilts of any size - mug rugs and doll/mini-quilts up to full size. I also adore fabric bags & containers of all kinds - zipper pouches, totes, wallets, purses, organizers, buckets and boxes, etc. Since gift-giving is my love language, I enjoy the process of selecting and making things for others via swaps or for birthdays or just because!

I live in Colorado, and besides sewing, I enjoy being outdoors (especially in the mountains), baking, playing cards and board games, coffee in the mornings with my husband and tea in the afternoon with my daughters, dark chocolate anytime (by myself - ha, ha), writing encouraging notes and spending time with extended family.

Our family advocates for foster care (we've been down that road) and we love to encourage and be encouraged by families of kids with special needs (yep, that road, too!) Candles, bath salts and long walks are my de-stressing tools. I love the changing seasons and all holidays. And I look forward to making new friends who share my interests!
