I am a photographer and educator working and living in Portland, Oregon. I teach photography at Ida B Wells-Barnett High School and enjoy photographing a wide variety of subjects. My work tends to focus on people, street photography and landscapes but I also enjoy capturing abstract and macro images. I work in film, digitally and create many images using alternative processes such as transfers, pinhole and cyanotypes. I believe photography has the ability to empower us, to find our common humanity and appreciate the world around us. I have a deep appreciation for creating, discussing and internalizing visual images and I look forward to any feedback about my work. I strongly believe that we all have the ability to create beautiful images and that images have the power to change our society. Thank you for your time and consideration.
