Being retired and living in North West England gives me ample time and opportunity to record the county I love.

The images I capture both in my locality and further afield interest me and I enjoy recording them for my family and friends.

I have always loved art and all visual stimuli; Flickr supplies these in great quantity. I have learned so much from this site. The quality of work displayed on Flickr far surpasses anything I can produce but I keep trying.

If the images I capture are of any interest to other Flickr contributors please feel free to use them. At nearly seventy years of age it’s hardly worth keeping things to myself.

The beauty of the digital image is, if uploaded it isn’t locked away in a trunk in the attic. Once added to the web it remains a public record of times passed.
