I'm 48, married, and a father of 2 boys ages 14 and 16. I have a dog named Macy. I also had a dog named Rex, which was a mixed breed. I also had a dog named Little Bit. She was a Puggle, which is half a beagle and half pug. I miss both of them greatly. You will see a few pictures of them. I am a chemical operator by profession. I enjoy going on hikes with my wife and boys and going to interesting places. I live in Northeast Tennessee. Due to my job and other factors, most of my traveling is usually a few hours away at most. However, some of my favorite pictures were found in the backyard. If you are willing to look, entire worlds can be found under your feet.

As you can easily tell, I am not a pro photographer. I'm just a guy who likes taking pictures of the people and places in my life so others can enjoy and experience the world thru my eyes. I generally enjoy taking pictures of landscapes, birds, and macro shots of flowers and bugs. I do not take many pictures of people or street shots. However, if there is something that I see interesting, I will take a picture of it regardless of the subject matter. I hope you enjoy and perhaps see some pics of places you would like to visit. I truly don't show just how beautiful some of these places are. If you decide to go somewhere that I have been ,feel free to email me, and I will tell you what I know about them.

I also would like to thank the many awesome photographers that call flickr home. I could read a thousand books about how to make a beautiful picture and not understand or study your work and understand so much more.

However, I do have a favor to ask of you. If I have a picture that is nice but could have been much better with a little tweaking, please let me know. I value your input. Thanks. Generally, if you follow me, I will follow you. If you are into a type of photography that I am not into, I'll probably won't. Nothing personal, I only have so much time to look at pictures. Also, if you have been on Flickr any length of time and you do not have any or very few pictures posted, I probably will not follow you either. However, if there is any nudity or anything I consider inappropriate, I will not follow.
