This is a record of a 4 acre piece of land we own near Saxmundham in Suffolk, UK. We aquired it in August 2008 at which time it had been out of cultivation for 4 years. The only management it had until we took it on was mowing and grazing ponies. The previous owner left us with an old mobile home and a quantity of debris which needed clearing up. Since then we have developed it as a small, privately owned, nature reserve with an emphasis on creating biodiverse habitats including good provision to encourage barn owls.
