My name is Peter John Linnell, I am the youngest of three children. I was born in 1947 to James Arthur and Gladys Lillian Linnell at Bedford County Hospital, United Kingdom.

I grew up in a village called Stofold in Bedfordshire United Kingdom. I had a formal education at St. Mary's infant school, Stotfold County Primary school for boys and last but not least Eatonbury.

I married in 1968 and had three children, whom I love very much, Carl, Claire & Christie and between them they have seven children. Carl and his family now live in Australia and Clair and her family live in New Zealand, Christie and her family live in Dunstable, Bedfordshire in the United Kingdom.

I have now retired due to ill health, but have worked in many fields of employment, I left school in 1963 and worked in a buying office for several years with a company making sliding door gear and up and over garage doors, whilst there I trained in first aid and factory safety in general.

I then spent several years working with the gas company converting gas appliances to run on natural gas, and was a call back engineer sorting out leaks and other problems with appliances. I got married in 1968 and then worked in and around London fitting gas control valves on gas meters.

My next venture was working with various companies involved in diamond drilling and stone cutting for the civil engineering sector,

I then decided to work for myself as a self employed plumber, due to a previous accident I found it difficult to continue so I purchased the lease to a shop and ran that for a number of years.

In 1985 I moved from my home town of Stotfold in Bedfordshire to Brighton East Sussex and worked as a self employed builder and plumber, in 1990 I fell from a ladder and fractured my spine and in 1993 had major heart surgery. Whilst living in Brighton I became interested in kites and kite flying and for a number of years was the Chairperson/co-coordinator of Brighton Kite Flyers, which was a very enjoyable time in my life.

In 2003 I moved to live in Stafford in the midlands and now fly my kites on Stafford common, which is situated at the rear of my house and is accessible via a gate at the bottom of my garden, as I am mostly confined to a wheelchair these days I don't manage to get to the kite festivals which I used to enjoy so much whilst living in Brighton.

I still am a member of both Brighton Kite Flyers and the American Kite Association. Please feel free to check out my Web Blogs.
