I was a career railwayman with 40 years service completed when I retired in August 2014. My former position was that of Driver Manager for East Coast Mainline, based at London Kings Cross.

In line with my former job, I was competent to drive, instruct on and assess on Class 91/Mk4 trains. Class 254 HST. Class 67 and Class 08 locomotives and signed the following routes: Kings Cross to Leeds, Doncaster to Newcastle, the Hertford North 'Loop', from Hitchin to Peterborough via Cambridge and Ely. From Peterborough to Doncaster, via Sleaford, Lincoln and Gainsborough and from Newark to Lincoln, via Swinderby.

My main photographic interests are railways, both UK and Europe and also Aviation (I am currently training for my Private Pilot's Licence). This website therefore will show both railways and also aviation images and is a 'work in progress' project.
