I wanted to come off snarky in my comment but for once I'm going to shift gears to a more serious side of myself. I have learned a lot from done, not only have I learned how to look at photos that I normally would not take I have learned to laugh out loud and every now and then not take myself so seriously. He is a generous man with his comments and his photos never cease to amaze me. I'm glad to have him as a contact but even more grateful to call him a friend. Now let me go grab some Kleenex and wipe away these tears! HAR!

Don is one of those fun loving guys that sees the humor in everything. In all of the years that my wife and I have been close friends with Don and his wife, we have rarely seen him without his non-stop grin... and I cannot recall ever seeing him in a bad mood. His kidding around with people is infectious to those around him. But Don has a serious side too. You see it when he is doing the things that he loves, and normally that involves his wife, his dogs, and the great outdoors. Don's photography focuses mainly around the great outdoors here in Michigan (and the occasional drunk pirate wench, but that's another story!). There is a lot of natural beauty here in western Michigan, and Don always has a good eye for seeing it while walking through the woods, along a lake shore, or anywhere else he may be. It's nice that nowadays Don is taking his camera with him more often, and sharing these things with us. Don sometimes underestimates his photography skills because at the present time he doesn't have what he feels that he needs, which is to do software editing to his photos. The thing he has not yet realized is that he already has something that all of the software editing in the world will not help if you don't have this... He has a great eye for photography!
