Former full time jewelry maker, now retired due to illness. My website is gone, so I decided to use flick as a way to showcase some of my favorite pictures and short videos. All jewelry pictures posted here will be of things I made between 2012 and mid 2018.

I've been a fan of all things Norse since childhood. Learned to read the Elder Futhark in the 1990s. Lived near L'Anse Aux Meadows, Newfoundland, Canada twice. Was there for the Year 1000 Celebrations marking a millennium since the Norse came there. Hence my fascination with wire knitting.

Discovered the work of American wire artist Ruth Asawa and taught myself her stitch making technique. While she used it to make large sculptural pieces, I've shrunken it down to make jewelry. The Dahlia pendant and pins are examples of this technique.

My health continues to be a challenge, but I've maintained my YouTube Channel and hope to add to it in the near future. I'm also still on Facebook as The Purple Raven.
