Update: 6/24/22: 42 days ago I began HRT and I also stopped consuming alcohol. It’s been a really wonderful time. I have had no negative side effects. I think suppressing the testosterone is the reason I feel a serenity that I have not experienced before. I’ve been pretty much emotionally dysfunctional since puberty and this feels like a major component to getting my life on track. I’m looking forward to the future. Also my nipples are sore.

My health care provider asked my to join their board of directors which I did. Everyone there is supportive of the LGTBQI+ community and I’m making many new friends. This is the first community I’ve been a part of since I decided to accept myself a decade ago. I’m really happy that is moving in a healthy direction for me.
