Charity overview

We are LOROS, The Leicestershire and Rutland Organisation for the Relief of Suffering. We are a local charity whose aim is to enhance the quality of life of patients with a terminal illness.

Every year more than 2,500 patients benefit from the services we provide. Either at the hospice, in their own homes, or at our Day Therapy Service at the Hospice. The demand on our services grows each year and in order to provide these services free, to patients and their families, we have to raise a minimum of £4.5 million annually. 90% of our costs are directed to patient care.
