Growing up in Devon UK, grandson of a farmer, I spent a lot of time outside. This molded into me, a great love for outdoors & nature. Which is reflected in my photography.

I first got into photography around 2003 when I bought a Sony DSC-S85. It was old stock from Sony, so bargin price. Little did I know, its full manual controls, would spark a new world of interest for me.

2005 I wanted more. DSLRs were starting to come down in price. Then Nikon brought out the D50, at a price point I could manage. I loved it & still do today. (6th April 2014)

As always with DSLRs

things were changing quickly, I wanted to better the quality of the D50. 2006 I added to my D50 with a D200. Infact the quality was not much better, mainly media hype.

With these camers in my bag + few lens I started learning about photography, on a hobby level.

Now nearly 10 years on I love photography and feel I'm getting better slowly with time. But most of all I get outside, take in the beauty of the world and just sometimes, manage to capture some of it on memory card.
