I was born in Chicago and lived most of my life in SW Michigan near the Big Lake. Now I'm retired in the desert southwest, near Tucson Arizona. I've found that the Sonoran desert and surrounding mountain ranges provide unique experiences in hiking and photography. The Tucson area is a wonderful place to photograph, with a variety of architectural styles that reflect a colorful blend of cultures and past history. I have a passion for capturing scenic beauty and sharing it with anyone that enjoys amateur photography. Thanks for your comments. I look forward to seeing your photographic works as well ...

“A great photograph is a full expression of what one feels about what is being photographed in the deepest sense and is thereby a true expression of what one feels about life in its entirety.”

Bill is a good friend, a great photographer and a Top member of my photo groups: "A Virtual Journey: Photos of Excellence" and "16x9 WIDESCREEN HD Photos of Excellence". It takes a special person with special photographic talent and a heart of kindness to achieve such a great honor. Bill was one of our first Virtual Journeyers who has since been honored with 5 weekly features on our home page: www.flickr.com/gr... and has been inducted into our gallery of featured photos: www.flickr.com/gr... He has been instrumental in the creation of my new photo group 16x9 WIDESCREEN HD Photos of Excellence: www.flickr.com/gr... Beyond that, Bill is an admin for a group called "The Look of the Southwest". In my opinion, it represents the very best look of the American Southwest available on the web! Sincere thanks Bill....for your friendship, outstanding achievements and support! Captain Rick"

Beautiful photography. These photos show a true connection with the Southwest we love and why we love it. The shots of historic sites are so interesting and I could spend the day getting lost here.
