My name is Janice Byer and photography is something I have always had a passion for. I love to take pictures of just about anything. During the last few years, it has become my mission to take shots that are worthy to be used by whomever needs them. Everything from photos of horses to flowers to landscapes, and my favorite subject… sunsets.

I have been designing websites for over 14 years now and I usually try to take photos myself to add to my clients’ sites. But, when they started coming to me and wanting to buy my images for other uses, I thought to myself, “hey, maybe I AM good at taking pictures… maybe more people would like to use them” :-) Thus, Shady Ridge Photography was born.

I soon realized that photographing horses and pets is what I truly love to do so I now specialize in that. I still love to take shots of just about everything but horses (and their riders) and pets are what I shoot the most.
