Himara is a small city located in southern Albania. The population amounts around 10,000 people including and the villages around (Palase, Dhermi, Ilias Vuno, Himare, Pilur, Kudhes and Qeparo). The surface of Himara is 70 square kilometers and starts from the village Qeparo and reaches the foot of the highest mountain in the region Llogara. It is located in the coastline of Ionian Sea and besides the splendid beach it also has high green-covered mountains on the other side. It has some of the longest beaches of the Ionian coastline and all kind of beaches with sandy, small pebbles and rocks. In Himara you have the possibilities to do rock climbing by the sea or inland, you can hike the mountains nearby or the Ceraunian Mountains of Llogara near the town, you can visit the many churches from the far away Byzantine era, the Castle of Himara, the castles in the villages in the region and as well other attractions.
