Mission:

On order, the 11th Public Affairs Detachment provides direct public affairs support to units deployed in support of Army, Joint, Combined or Unified operations. The 11th Public Affairs Detachment will train our Soldiers for worldwide Public Affairs operations and prepare them to take the hardest missions, overcome adversity, and maintain the highest military standards in telling the Army story.

 

Description:

The 11th Public Affairs Detachment (PAD) is an 8-person detachment comprised of a commanding officer, NCOIC, Operations NCO, two 46R broadcasters and three 46Q print journalists. Organic to U.S. Army Forces Command (FORSCOM) at Fort Bragg, North Carolina but with home station at Fort Hood, Texas, the 11th PAD continuously trains for combat deployment and provides public affairs assistance for short notice contingency operations when required and various other DoD events requiring public affairs coverage.
