My name is Angela, but my family always called me Angel while growing up so I used that in my shop's name. I'm the owner, designer, and maker of HookedbyAngel.

I've raised three amazing sons and now that I'm an empty nester, I have time to put my crafty tendencies to work!

I am currently designing a series of cozies which resemble different dog breeds. I look at a picture of the dog and recreate it in yarn. My first dog cozy was made as a Christmas gift for my parents. It was made to resemble their Maltese, named Mickey. Their reaction was so special. My mom even gave it a kiss. I'm now receiving requests for custom cozies from all over the world.

My fans that crochet asked me to write my patterns. When I feel I have mastered a particular breed, I write the pattern. Once the pattern is tested and released, I make it available as a kit too.
