A group of family and friends who have banded together to help 4 year old Connor beat Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD)

Connors Story.

Connors parents are Georgina and Wayne, he also has a new baby brother called Kye. The family all live in Westgate-on-Sea in Kent.

The family only discovered that Connor has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) in March 2013.

DMD is a muscle wasting disease that will see Connor in a wheelchair by around 10 years old, it will result in death at a young age.

DMD is caused by a defect occurring in his gene. As yet we don't know why.

Connor is unaware of his illness and his parents would like to stay that way for the moment.

On Saturday 6 April Georgina and Wayne put out a post on Facebook sharing their sad news with family and friends. That same day this new page was created by his four devastated aunts and his uncle.

Although there isn't a cure yet for this cruel disease, we will keep our fingers crossed that one is found before it's too late.

In the meantime, we have joined forces to create awareness of this dreadful disease and will be fundraising for Connor and his immediate family, in the hope that we might secure treatment, but even better, a cure for our Connor.

In doing this, we hope to not only benefit Connor, but all other boys too, who are unlucky enough to be diagnosed with this heartbreaking disease. x
