KNN I Kamila Nora Netik (born in Brno 1984, Czech Republic)

The work of Kamila Nora Netik is instantly recognizable for it’s touch of mystery and raw romance. She doesn’t take pictures, she narrates stories straight from nature and from the human being. Her army of entities transfer the audience to another world, a world of her own devising where deep nature; the disturbing mythology of existence and symbolism play major roles.

Kamila started at a very young age, expressing herself through painting and wood sculpture (She is the daughter of internationally renowned artist and sculptor Jiri Netik). She exhibited as the youngest participant at the World Exhibition of Nativity Scenes) – this was the inception of her strong connection to nature and her vision undistiurbed by formal education.
