I am the only daughter of Joseph P. Ascherl - this collection of his calligraphy is a testimonial to him and his work. Joe passed away in 2007at the age of 97. In his earlier years, he studied calligraphy and design at the Art Students League in New York City and worked for several publishing houses including Doubleday & Co. During his retirement years, Joe continued to produce works in calligraphy with a steady hand until a year before he died. He took great joy in sharing his work with others. It is my wish to continue sharing my dad's art on this website.
