I have loved photography since I was a tot, but the photographic limitations of my Le Clic camera were many. I did eventually learn not to cut people's heads off in my pictures. That was cool. Once when I was a tween, my mom let me shoot a roll of faux black and white film in her black market Canon SLR (that is as old as I am) and I was hooked!
I'm a student with a double major in Interior Design and English . . . they only SOUND like they don't work well together. As part of my ID major, I had to take the intro to photography class. I say "had" like it was a bad thing . . . It was far from bad. It was INCREDIBLE! I've never known such a Zen-like existence as working in the darkroom! My photographic progress that semester was phenomenal, but once the class was over and I was forced to focus on other things, my inspiration began to wane. Things were busy, life was crazy, and photography was pushed to the back burner.
I had the good fortune of inheriting a fully manual SLR several years ago, so a number of my photographs were done in film. You'd see more examples, but I'm lazy when it comes to scanning and retouching film.
Recently, I had the WONDERFUL fortune of receiving a Canon Digital Rebel XT. We have been virtually inseparable ever since. Most of my photos are from the Rebel. (Is it wrong to want to call him James?)
I love the community here on Flickr. So many wonderful photographers to educate and inspire me. I want to get better and I know I have a long way to go. I welcome all comments and critique. There is ALWAYS room for improvement.

The care and time that Mollie puts into her photos is evident within minutes of looking at her photostream. Her photos are well composed and show a definite passion for photography. Something that sets Mollie's photostream apart from many on Flickr is her way with words. Along with every new picture she uploads comes an intriguing story to complement it. As well as being an outstanding photographer, Mollie is also an invaluable giver of constructive criticism, and I value her comments on my photos more than any. Honestly, this testimonial doesn't do her or her photography justice. Take a look at her pictures, you won't be disappointed. :)
