My love for all things aviation started when I lived in Binbrook in the early 60s. Of course the Lightning was resident at RAF Binbrook then and the station held many exercises over the years, Priory, Mallet Blow, Elder Forest etc.

In the 80s my love of aviation photography saw me recording many NATO aircraft either visiting, or attacking Binbrook Airfield. Types included; Starfighters, Drakens, Jaguars, Phantoms, F5s, F16s, A10s, F15s & F111s, Corsairs, Hunters etc.

Over the years I have travelled far and wide pursuing this great hobby and have met some real characters along the way, many of whom I now call friends. Now in my 50s I look back at those great days, iconic aircraft and long summers spent at airfields with real nostalgia.
