My passion for photography developed well before I got my hands on my first camera.

Eons before there were smart phones, digital cameras, iPad and the like, photos were a luxury, a rare commodity.

Cameras were not as common as today and my family would have to borrow a film camera from a friend when we wanted to take photos.

Photographs were reserved for special occasions; special moments though short lived, you want to last forever in your memory

Each photograph was carefully selected to represent a different moment in time as we countdown to the last strip of film.

Excitement filled me when I saw the camera as I knew there was an upcoming family event and it is this bliss and euphoria that I associate with photography.

For me photography is not just about taking a photo but about capturing once in a lifetime moments where you can tell a story through your lens.

The best advice I've ever read on my adventure through photography thus far:

"Anyone can be taught to make a beautiful photo, but we should all strive to make work that is personal and initimate."

It is with this sentiment that I take with me on my journey of progression.

I know passion and talent doesn't always go hand in hand but I strive to fill the void between the two with practice, practice and more practice.

I hope to capture a series of photos that can connect and speak to others..one day.

Your honest feedback is always appreciated (I take criticism with a grain of salt :P)
