I am a passionate amateur photographer. I shoot film and digital. While I preferred black and white over colour now and then it strikes me to shoot colour. I was born in 1963 and my father triggered my interest in photography already whe I turned 11. I seriously started photography at the age of 17. After a break I picked un a camera again after birth of my children. After haven taking countless family and holiday pictures I became again more interested in some sort of more or less expressive photograpgy. I tried all diffrent genres of photography but I am and always was attracted by landscape photography, particularly in black and white, and with this genre there are still lessons to be learned.

After heavy suffering from digital GAS, I returned to analog still shooting digital though. Ultimately I enjoy the beauty of a silver halide print. While far from beeing good as a photographer, I am now convinced that the most important thing is enjoying yourself with photography. First and foremost I take pictures for myself and not with the primary purose to please others. However, it is kind of obvious that pictures are beeing taken to adress the viever.
