Quotation from Kate Shaw talking about her work "I find myself thinking about such odd and exciting things! I have no idea why really but I do. Pretty much every night I fall into a deep sleep and goodness knows what happens to me! I end up experiencing some extremely surreal events and situations.. I still don't wish that I could be normal. I think it's healthy to be a little mad otherwise life and the art you create is no fun!"

Kate Shaw was born in 1997 and currently lives in the SW of the England. Her love for Art started at an incredibly early age of her childhood. In terms of artistic background in her family and whilst growing up there is nobody in her family that has an artistic career.

Her passion for photography increased greatly when she got given her first Panasonic Lumix DMC-LZ2 camera and then from there purchased much more specialist professional cameras such as the Olympus U Tough and Nikon D40X with a range of different lenses. Her art consists of many different types of art however she mainly falls within the categories of 'Fine Art', 'Photography', 'Graphic Design' and 'Illustration'. All of these consist of differing themes such as; Surrealism, Religion, Fantasy, Contrast, Emotion and Modern Society Ideology.

Kate is currently an A level student at The Woodroffe School in the town of Lyme Regis of which is well known for their Art Department and success rate in the field. She has received many awards for her artwork mostly for taking risks and challenging herself as well as ideology.
