Founded in 1994, INSP (the International Network of Street Papers) supports and develops over 120 street paper projects in 40 countries, in 24 languages, with a combined readership of 6 million per edition.

Street publications are independent newspapers and magazines that provide unique employment opportunities for people experiencing poverty and homelessness. Vendors buy copies at a price of 50% or lower than the cover price, then sell them, keeping the proceeds. In addition to employment, many INSP members offer their vendors ongoing social support.

We support their development and sustainability of our members, and add value to their work by providing a range of services and projects. Our news service provides editorial support to our members, to build their capacity and increase their sales so that thousands of homeless vendors - 200,000 so far - can earn a living and improve their lives.
