Hi, Pearl here.

Flickr has been my cocoon lately.

My mum was my sole responsibility for many years, and she has just passed away.

I love to see beauty, both in Mother Nature and places around the world, as I haven't travelled for a long, long time !

I have two girls of the puppy kind for company.

I write poetry, take photos, take the girls walking…not much else lately..Mum's been gone a month, almost, and I'm really starting to miss her.

 

And it's my birthday today...

But…

 

Life is precious, and it's a real lottery to be here at all, and we must be optimistic for what is about to arrive in our day, and that we have the eyes to see the wonder of it all.

 

I am so grateful to discover this photo sharing website and to my Flickr Friends, for opening up to me, all the new ways of seeing this amazing world and the brilliant things in it.

 

This precious, experience helped me through the last few months of my mother's life end, and I know it will remain a daily habit of mine for as long as I can do it.

 

This video is so beautiful please take the time to watch it, and then have a Beautiful Day!

 

Hope you love it, as I have.

It helped me regain my footing in the Present again, and to value whatever time we all may have left.

Update !

 

It's May 16th today and I just want to say that recently I've had an influx of members clicking to 'Follow' my stream but with no further interaction whatsoever..

 

I've visited these pages after finding a new contact following me to get the ball rolling ~ fave, comment, fave, comment ~ and still nothing.

 

Hmmm….

 

What are you doing ??

 

From now on, I'll be cleaning out my inactive contacts every so often.

 

This photosharing is a gift to the eyes, heart and mind of all who participate…don't take it for granted.

 

So many of us work hard to create a good photo and take pleasure when they know others are enjoying to view it..
