Rachel Sonnenschein is an independent free-lance photographer based out of northwest Nebraska. She has been published in the Grey Sparrow Journal, Garden Tripod Magazine, Farm and Ranch Living, and Nebraska Life Magazine.

I was born and raised in the Lander Valley of Wyoming off the Continental Divide. Taught to hunt, fish, and rock hunt at an early age; my parents enjoyed the outdoors and passed that love onto me. I am intrigued by the westward movement, the outlaws, gun-fighters, mountain men, explorers, homesteaders, gold seekers, and pioneers. Given a day off I will be found searching for arrowheads, hidden springs, wagon ruts, and remains of ghost towns.

I love this country; I am an American proud of my fellow Americans; I am a Christian, a homeschooling mom of 4 special children, and a wife. I love my life!!!
