I have recently rediscovered my love for photography. Thanks in large part, to someone I met on a cruise. I am no photographer, that's evident by just looking at my photos. I am working on it however. In the meantime? well, I consider myself a "work in progress", and at my age, progress is slow.

I am still shooting in JPEG, using a light touch on the editing bit. Shooting in raw frightens the daylights out of me. I plan on taking a class, in photography, at the local Jr college.

Living in The Sunshine State, affords me ample opportunity to capture sunrise, sunset and beach photos, should I wish to drive TO the beach. No one can beat nature, when it comes to beauty. I do travel as well, so anyplace is a good one for a photo-op. I've discovered that flowers and plants don't mind having their picture taken and are quite beautiful, in close up.

This has become a fun hobby, something that gets me out of the house, and that's the best thing that's happened to me in a long while.

I've named my little black box "Nicky T Nikon" ( "T" standing for The). My purse camera is a Canon. I get, a perverse sort of, pleasure stating "I carry a Canon in my purse". Canon? well a 45 can be considered a "canon" as well. That should give you as much insight into my personality as you need.

So? as long as I can get out to take photos, I will do just that. If you visit Florida beaches, theme parks, or little out of the way places few people know exist; and you see a "woman of a certain age" with a purse slung over one shoulder, a camera bag slung over the other, and a Nikon on a strap around her neck or with the Nikon (or Canon) viewfinder to her eye? It could be you've seem "me". Capture me if you can ~ on SD card only please~ I tend to not stay in one place too long.

*picture me grinning*
