When I was young my father had a Hornby Dublo 3-rail model railway layout, which he had started building in about 1950. Around 1960 we decided to replace it with the new Hornby Dublo 2-rail system, so he sold his track, locomotives, rolling stock and some other bits and pieces and we began building the 2-rail layout.
Unfortunately Hornby Dublo was merged with Tri-ang Railways in 1964, with resulting change in track, couplings and style of locomotive and rolling stock. I continued to buy local shops' remaining stock through the mid 1960s, finding some good bargains in the process, until I had a decent sized layout. The layout went through various reconstructions with time and house moves until a move in 1985 when it was packed up and never set up again.
In 2007 I finally brought it out of storage and sold it. However before doing so I photographed each piece. These are some of the photographs I took.
