The end of regular additions to The Museum is now. This lifelong collection of some of the finest pieces of sheer nylon lingerie made between the mid 1940's and the mid 1980's is almost complete. I will of course continue to search out those desirous pieces but basically my job is now done.

This has been a fun, lifelong pastime full of highs and lows. Seeing an exciting style for the first time that looks as though it ought to feel amazing too only for it to feel hard instead of smooth to the touch and even worse with two layer garments when you know with a little more care from the manufacturer that turning one layer inside out or even turning one layer through ninety degrees the wearer would experience a far greater level of sensuality and pleasure.

Of course choosing the right nylon yarn in the first place is the key but then how that yarn is woven is also extremely important. Costs naturally increase as the amount of yarn increases but softness and sensuality also increase proportionally which is why designer pieces are at the top of favorites list. The last three pictures show the same magnified images of a 15 denier nylon, note the more dense weave of the designer material as opposed to the looser material used for mass production garments.

I will continue to make new additions to the museum every six months or so but in the meantime please continue to enjoy this slice

of intimate history.
