I was introduced about 4 years ago to photography by my father in law. I raced motocross for several years along side of my brother in law and they always were at the track taking photos and running a website. At the time is was more than happy with a point and shoot. When he gave me an old SLR, I never really took to it right away. It took a few years for me to develop any skills or confidence with it. I remember shooting in sport mode only because I didn't understand anything on it. Too stubborn to ask for help, I slowly started to see I had somewhat of an eye for composition. eventually I would get some more gear which brought more practice and experience. I by no means do I feel like a pro (especially after looking around on this site). I shoot for fun and just plan to always have the camera with me everywhere I go.
