My practice mainly revolves around the portrayal of the human form, examining the physical structure of the human body frequently presenting the figure in a state of contortion, constriction and isolation whilst touching on other motifs of sexuality, anguish and loneliness.

I am truly fascinated by the human form and express my desire to portray the beauty of the body through a range of subjects and compositions. I often portray the figure in an empty space, focusing on confining the figure within a vacant room or abstract landscape. I enjoy the interplay between the curvature of the body and geometric shapes of interacting objects and linear backgrounds.

I see the themes and subjects I portray within my painting as an armature upon which to express deeper feelings and concerns about my understanding of the human condition.
