Who am I?

I’m Nathan, the guy behind the camera lens of Nathan Fletcher Photography. I’ve always had a keen eye for photography and began taking photos other than the usual ‘holiday snaps’ in 2009 whilst living in Dubai. I was on the lookout for a skyline shot of the city to brighten up my apartment and realised the one I liked in the shop priced at £350 I had taken almost a replica of just a few weeks earlier. So, I saved pretty much all of the costs and had my own image printed & framed. Voila.

Using my trusted Nikon and shooting from a range of angles and focus points my passion for capturing great shots for my own private gallery began. Continuing with landscapes I progressed to architecture, people, wildlife, food, well let’s be honest here, anything goes. I now live in Sheffield with my wife and daughter who wholeheartedly support me and are my number one critics. When my daughter arrived my wife said ‘and now we are a family of four, you me, Isabel & Nikon!’

I’ve got a long way to go until I’m crowned ‘photographer of the year’ but I’ll keep on aiming high ready for this moment, until then nothing makes me happier than seeing the skill of what I capture to be eye-catching enough to provoke a reaction or cause a feeling and be remembered.
