A all rounder die hard fan of Nikon User. Love the Nature and accept many types of challenge in life.

Hate those allegations that the bird aviary in China's bird aviaries were starved to incite them to hunt in the presence of photographers. Some even claim that the birds are badly treated, maybe with disease, sick or not properly taken care of.

We have observed and witnessed that the birds there are well kept, appeared to be energetic, healthy and well fed.

All the birds were fed a few times a day and there were ample live fishes to go around. The condition of the aviary looks natural and there are bird nests build by the birds. We spoke to the operators and saw for ourselves and see no reason for the birds to be starved because it's in their business interest to keep the birds healthy; not scrawny and stressed out, or do the birds need to fight desperately over food. The feathers of the birds are shining with bright colours. All the birds are well kept like pets. No sign of broken feathers or sick bird. The aviaries there are well kept and maintain.

My intention is to clarify for those who have not been there but try to be act like sage, or pharisee and come up with their own story to others from overseas.

*** I do not owe anyone any explanation about our visit or to justify anything. I just say what we observe and witness.

*** Neither am I trying to promote nor condemn those who spoke against the practice... even though there were attempts to criminalise folks like me /us, who have been to the aviaries.

*** Like most birders I still prefer to photograph birds in the wild over captive. Otherwise I would have just visit Jurong Bird Park or the Zoo all day and photograph all the wild exotic birds there. I do share the location, spots and exlf that I have taken the photos, there is nothing to hide or to lie.

*** And to those who are keyboard warriors and want to be famous, please don’t be childish and give your 2 cents worth. Do mind your words too, because the whole world is looking at you.

*** Those who are against using of flash, FYI The best birds photographer is using double flash, If you do still insist that you are the experts, than the worlds judges must be blind.

*** As for those who are dead against feeding, please go out and see the world a little more. Feeding doesn't make birds lazy or turn them into easy prey like what our local experts says.

*** The real poachers are those irresponsible researchers who wanted the easy way out by using netting and leaving the birds to die before collecting it a few days later for their sampling or research work.
