Simon Stobart
Drag to set position!
Born in Sunderland in the 60’s and raised in the North East England (for the most part), I spent most of my childhood growing up in Morpeth, Northumberland.
I have always had a keen interest in nature and wildlife particularly and I grew up watching the adventures of Jacques Cousteau and Sir David Attenborough on TV.
Many years ago I chose a career in Computing over Marine Biology and have worked in UK Higher Education for over 30 years. While I enjoyed my working life I recently took an opportunity to take early retirement and now follow my heart instead of my head photographing and encountering wildlife in the great outdoors.
My Uncle Phil was a professional sports photographer which could be why I have always had a passion for Photography. As you may have guessed from looking at my photo stream, wildlife photography is my focus, allowing me to combine my passion for wildlife and photography in one pursuit.
I would like to thank everyone who follows me and comments on my photographs, I really appreciate it.
Please don’t be offended if I don’t follow you back. I like to view and comment on all the work uploaded by those I follow and I am already beyond the limit of the number of people I can do this for regularly.

I like your photographic universe. I just would like to know more about your hardware cameras and lenses Regards Bruno
Simon's work is nothing short of gorgeous. He has a knack of locating the unusual and producing some of the most interesting shots I've seen recently. He always leaves positive feedback for others and makes Flickr a better place.
