Reiner Hansen is an artist living and working in Brooklyn, New York. She was born in Denmark where she received a BA in Design and Illustration at Kolding School of Design. Hansen’s work has been exhibited in solo- and group exhibitions in numerous places in the US including the Dolby-Chadwick Gallery and Cain Schulte Fine Art in San Francisco, Manifest Gallery in Cincinatti, Fort Wayne Museum in Indiana, in Hamburg, Germany at Kunstverein Buchholz/Nordheide and in 2012 at Jack Chiles Gallery in New York. She was a recipient of the Sugarman Foundation Grant in 2006 and was twice a semi-finalist for the Outwin Boochever Portrait Competition. In 2012 she received the Lillian Orlowsky and William Freed Foundation Grant.
