Hi all! My name is Victoria. At home, my family calls me Vica (Veekah), which in Russian is short for Victoria. In 2007 I moved to wonderful Sicily, Italy. I love this place, especially in the summer. Back when I created the blog in 2007, it started with just a dozen fans which were basically my friends and family who love my cooking. Today I am pleased to see hundreds of visits on the blog each day and over a thousand likes on my Facebook page!! This inspires me to share more yummy recipes with you! And for that I thank my fans.

I remember very well the day I watched the movie “Julie and Julia”, which inspired me so much that a week later I decided to create this blog. Cooking was always my passion, which I think I got it for my mum who is an amazing cook! But the movie got me really motivated to share with the world what I do best – cooking.
