I've had the photographic bug ever since getting my first camera - an Ilford Sportsman which I still have. I've been into club photography for 25 years or so but since being fortunate enough to get early retirement I've been able to indulge my passion almost at will. This passion now encompasses monochrome and impressionist work, the latter taxing my imagination and skills to the limit. For the record I'm a Canon user, not that that's important because a camera is just a tool at the end of the day. I do all my own post-processing work, printing and mounting. For more examples see my website.
I gained my LRPS (Licentiate of the Royal Photographic Society) some years ago now and have begun to think about going for an A (Associateship). I am hoping that all the thinking about what images to put on Flickr will help me create a successful panel.
I'd like to add now that the feedback I get in the form of your fav's and comments is really valuable to me in my quest to improve. Keep it coming please!
It must be working as I can now say proudly that I am a published photographer, having had images printed in Amateur Photographer in September 2015 and having gained a Commended in the Scottish Landscape Photographer of the Year competition 2015, the latter image being reproduced in the book of the same name. You certainly get a kick out of seeing your work in print!!
Cheers
