I joined Flickr about 8/9 years ago when I started with photography. I started with a Nikon DLSR - Nikon 3000 and quickly became obsessed. Flickr was my training ground and where I learnt so much and met so many kind and inspiring people from all around the world. I am now a Leica User (M9, Q and Xu), Nikon is now D800(with big lens for surf/ocean) and edging into analog with Mamiya 6, Rolleiflex and Rolleicord, Mamiya 645 and Hasselblad - so much to learn in the world of film. I am a bit of a nerd as love the technology/machinery as well as loving the artistry.
I am Irish originally, lived all over the world and live in Bronte Beach in Sydney so most of my shots are from around this area.
I like to spend time commenting on my friends work and getting to know them so if I do not follow you immediately it is because there are a number of people on here following thousands of people and I can really only follow a few hundred at a time so that I can give the time that they/you deserve :)
Find me on Instgram also under Rosiebondi as that is where most of work has been uploaded to over the last 4/5 years:)

I've only known Rosie and her work for a short time, and only here in flickrland, but I'm so captivated by her talent and her spirit, and I'm happy to call her a friend. Her images are amazing, color and monochrome, and her words are always spot on … even the puns! You can learn a lot from Rosie. Or you can just live in those spectacular images of the magical, lovely places she chooses to photograph. The places are lovely, the magic is Rosie.

When I first started with Flickr I was interested in finding local photographers who work I could steal... I mean get inspiration from! I figured I would be able to get some good ideas for good photos that are in my local area so I could have a chance of taking something similar. I found Rosie's photo stream pretty early on found it really good. Rosie takes a lot of photos around the Bondi, Bronte area. I have taken lot of inspiration from her photos, including getting up early in the morning to take sunrise photos! Many of my favourites have come from Rosie's photo stream. I also find that she has great taste in others' photos and as a result I just tend to browse through her favourites in order to find more photos myself! In one of my photo shoots I inadvertently took a photo of Rosie, though I didn't know at the time, and she is only about 10 pixels tall in the photo! I look forward to her future photos!

Keep it up Rosie, keep sending us that antipodean light.
