Mijn eerste 'fototoestel' was een Franka Solida ( 6 x 6 en 4 x 4 cm) . Ik geloof dat ik er in de schoolvakantie twee weken fabriekswerk voor heb gedaan om het te kunnen betalen. Ik was toen 14 jaar oud. Het stof zit er nu op, maar ik heb het nog steeds.

Daarna kwamen achtereenvolgens een Yashica Lynx 5000 kleinbeeldcamera, een Nikon Nikkormat spiegelreflexcamera, een Nikon F60 spiegelreflexcamera, sinds 2009 een Nikon D90 digitale spiegelreflexcamera en sinds 2013 een Nikon D800 digitale spiegelreflexcamera met professionele lenzen.

Vooral nu ik veel meer vrije tijd heb dan ooit eerder het geval was, kijk ik met andere ogen rond. Kleine dingen kunnen me ook verwonderen. Het lijkt wel of de wereld er anders uitziet wanneer je er meer aandacht aan kunt geven.

Ik heb er geen enkel bezwaar tegen wanneer je mij als contact toevoegt. Integendeel zelfs want ik vind het alleen maar leuk wanneer ik mijn fotoplezier met jou kan delen.

Maar: ik zal je niet ook altijd meteen toevoegen als mijn contact omdat ik ook maar een beperkte hoeveelheid tijd te besteden heb en ik ook nog aan het fotograferen zelf wil toekomen.

Verder geldt dat wanneer je mij toevoegt of een foto als favoriet aanmerkt zonder dat je zelf een voor mij zichtbare fotostream hebt, de kans groot is dat ik je zal blokkeren. Ik heb vervelende ervaringen met oneigenlijk gebruik van mijn foto's. Vat het dan niet verkeerd op, het is niets persoonlijks.

My first camera was a Franka Solida. I was 14 years old when I bought it. To pay the camera I worked in a factory during two weeks. You can now see the dust on it.

Then came a Yashica Lynx 5000 camera, a Nikkormat SLR, a Nikon F60 SLR, since 2009 Nikon D90 DSLR en since february 2013 a Nikon D800 DSLR with professional lenses.

At the moment I have much more free time than ever before. I look around with new eyes. Small things can surprise me too. It seems that the world looks quite different when you can give more attention to it.

I have no objection if you add me as a contact. Quite the opposite because it's a pleasure to share my pictures with you.

But I shall not always immediately add you as my contact because I have a limited amount of time to spend, and the shooting and processing of pictures is my first priority.

Furthermore, if you add me or if you favourite my photos while you don't have a photo stream which is visible to me, it is most likely that I shall block you. I have bad experiences with abuse of my photos. Don't be angry, it's nothing personal.
