There are three great passions in Todd Proa’s life: sports, aquatics and his family. Since he was a young boy, Todd has been passionate about athletics. His favorite athletic activities are swimming, diving, basketball and soccer. As a native of Cleveland, Todd is a rabid fan of all Cleveland sports teams: AFC Cleveland, the Browns, the Cavaliers and the Indians to name a few. Todd has coached swimming, diving and soccer, which allowed him to combine his love of sports with his natural leadership skills. Todd is able to unite people to a common goal and cultivate good relationships with his peers, while keeping those around him motivated.

After graduating college in 1993, Todd started working as the Director of Aquatics for the Warrensville Heights’ Parks and Recreation Department. After a year of working there, he moved to Florida, where he held the same position in the YMCA’s at North Central Florida and Sarasota. From 1994 until 2004, Todd served as National Aquatic Chairman of the Amateur Athletic Union, allowing him to use his passion for aquatics, sports and leadership. He managed staff, worked on strategies for marketing for the Association, laid out budgets and conducted necessary contract negotiation.

For nearly ten years, Todd has been happily married. He currently lives in the Sarasota, Florida area with his wife and two children. His wife and children are the most important people in his life. He is looking for a position that would allow him to utilize his passion for aquatics, leadership abilities and desire to touch peoples’ lives and help them reach their full potential.
