I am an actress, model, and cosplayer living on the east coast of the United States. But I also travel and work in Los Angeles.
In the field of acting I am experienced in short films, commercials, being an extra on feature films, live theater, dinner theater, and murder mystery. I have my Bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland in Theater. I studied under many brilliant professors, but if I had to thank one the most, it would be Leigh Smiley (a voice coach to both Tom Hanks and Denzel Washington). She taught me to truly embody my characters.
I also am no stranger to public speaking. I have been the MC of a few ceremonies. I’ve spoken at disability advocacy meetings and domestic violence awareness workshops/memorials. If you can write it down on a piece of paper, I can present it to an audience.
Jarema productions hired me 2 years ago. They are a DJ company. Sometimes I DJ for them. But mainly I am part of the lip syncing show. I am a part of a trio that dresses up in all manner of wacky costumes (shoes, dresses, coats, wigs, etc) and goes out on stage to lip sync to everything from oldies, country, rock, pop, and top 40. It’s a hilariously good time and a great excuse to ham it up.
I wrote and sold a one act play called “We Fix It”. It’s the story of four women who all share an apartment. One is what we would consider “normal”. The other three have some sort of physical or mental disability. It explores their everyday lives. What is normal? Who gets to decide? Does disability mean broken?
As far as modeling goes, I do clothing shoots, either for fashion or to promote a certain business. I also do artistic shoots that are more for fun. I enjoy these shoots the most - experimenting with lines, light and shadow, colors, texture, etc. I do NOT do nude or topless shoots. I have not, nor will I. I can express myself just fine with my clothes on. So please don’t ask me to take them off.
Now last, but certainly not least, I am a cosplayer. The cosplay I am the most famous for is Xena Warrior Princess. I look a lot like Lucy Lawless, so when you add the black hair and classic Xena costume, I am a dead ringer for her. I enjoy cosplaying her immensely. I go to conventions as her, meet, and take photos with the fans. It’s a great job. I have done a few photo shoots as Xena. I have also written a few scripts to be filmed as shorts. Two have already been filmed. The next one is in the works.
