"A pwopwo isor" is a Chuukese phrase meaning "the tide is low (swollen=pwopwo, which also means pregnant) in the morning". This refers to a certain time of year, when that is indeed the condition of tides. It was explained to me that when the tides are swollen in the morning, it is the time when certain oysters are particularly good to eat, as they have abundant red (or orange?) material that is indeed eggs. I have adopted this name out of my keen interest in seasonality and the tides.
