I know enough to realize that I don't know much.

Most of my shots are taken whilst out on long walks with friends who have little or no interest in photography, so I tend to rush and don't take take the time to properly compose or think through a picture. I own a tripod and a monopod but rarely use either even when I know they would be ideal.

I often take photos that I know are fundamentally flawed, then try to make them better using some of the freely available editing tools. I don't have Photoshop or Lightroom as I don't have the patience which I suspect is probably necessary to learn my way around them.
