I have been interested in railways since I was thirteen years of age. Nowadays my main interest is in railway photography, particularly in capturing my local scene. The nearest lines are the Robin Hood Line, and the last significant section that remains of the LD&ECR, which branches off the Robin Hood Line at Shirebrook and runs through to High Marnham. From Thoresby sidings through to High Marnham is Network Rail's test track RIDC Tuxford, but better known as the High Marnham Test Track.
